Sheep are usually known for their nature; quiet, gentle, and above all obedient to their shepherds and they are beloved by mankind. John 10vs27 says; “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”. Here, Jesus Christ akin the sheep to His followers and they are to be submissive to His Word, direction, guidance, instructions, chastisement, etc. Jesus Christ could have used goat instead but He used sheep because of their nature of obedience and He wants we His children to depict this amazing quality of sheep and also to learn from their obedience to their shepherd’s voice.
My brothers and sisters, if we are sheep under the great Shepherd, Jesus Christ, then we must be willing to listen and obey His Voice and anyone who is not in total obedient to His voice in character, nature, words, appearance, thoughts, deed does not belong to Him and won’t partake in the glory, blessing, protection and above all the salvation that comes through Him. Jesus Christ has promised His sheep saying; ‘And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my Hand’. Eternal pain, failure, regret is destined for those sheep (professed Christians) that don’t heed to His Voice.
My people all around the world, I can boldly tell you that being under the leadership of Jesus Christ is all you need to live life fulfilled here on earth and hereafter because Jesus Christ is the great Shepherd that does the unimaginable to see His sheep succeed and safe. Matthew 18vs12vs13; “What do you think? If someone owns a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go look for the one that went astray? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.” Hear His Voice today and do not harden your heart to His Voice and as you do, stay physically and spiritually blessed forever in Jesus Name, amen. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
