Self-determination to put God first simply means being determined on your own to place Kingdom matters ahead of your own personal matters or affairs. Many people of this world have crazy self-determination to pursue their personal ambitions but never seek the consent of God because they’ve overshadowed the Kingdom needs with their will, desires and purposes.
Jesus Christ was a man full of self-determination. He put God first over everything because of His love for God. He would always go to an extra mile just to please God. Some of us would say that; ‘I have determined within myself to get that car’ but have less or no self-determination to save yourself and others around you in the interest of God just as the Bible says in Matthew 6vs33; “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you”. The easiest way to attract God’s attention is when you make up your mind on your own to be interested in those things that interest God the most. Self-determination matters a lot, it is like a force that keeps pushing you till you get that desired expectation. A person who doesn’t have self-determination to seek God’s will always is likely to quench in his or her life’s journey.
‘Every morning I wake up, I must put God first’ is something you need self-determination to bring to reality. Reading this message isn’t a coincidence, make up your mind, be self-determined not to make your life idle by putting your personal ambitions, interest and plans ahead of the Kingdom interest. Make God the centre of your existence.
My people, if all your ambitions is to seek the things of the world, then you are determining a dark future. Don’t wait for people to tell you to put God first in your life but let putting God overall be something you build yourself to achieve. Yes, it is good for people to encourage you but what happens if they are no more there? A person who wants to be distinguished from the crowd must be self-determined to walk with Christ. Those who are self-determined to put the things of God first in their lives will receive more of every other thing they need in life. The truth is, to be interested in the interest of God with all self-determination is to be treasured by God. You cannot be self-determined to put God first, fail in life and miss Heaven. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
