BEWARE OF THE PHARISEEES AND SADDUCEES’ TEACHINGS – JESUS CHRIST

The Bible says in Matthew 16vs6-12 that; “’Watch out,’ Jesus said to them, ‘beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’ So they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, ‘It is because we brought no bread.’ When Jesus learned of this, He said, ‘You who have such little faith! Why are you arguing among yourselves about having no bread? Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up? How could you not understand that I was not speaking to you about bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!’ Then they understood that he had not told them to be on guard against the yeast in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” The word you hear is just like a yeast, it has the power to widen you. Before taking up a decision, something is been said to you or you must have heard something which is the word and I would like to define word as a basic element of language we use to communicate with one another.
Anyone who teaches what is wrong or thing contradictory to the exact word of God is more like the Pharisees and Sadducees Jesus Christ was talking about. That was why Jesus Christ said to His disciples to beware with their teachings because if they accept it into their lives, it will impact them negatively. The Bible describes the Word to be alive and active, sharper than any double edged sword. It cuts all the way through to where soul and spirit meet, to where joint and marrow come together. It judges the desire and thoughts of the heart – Hebrews 4vs12. This is to show how powerful the word from the mouth is – it influences people, depending the kind of channel it comes from. If it comes from the right source, it will influence positively and change you for good and if it comes from the negative channel, it will by its nature destroy you. This is why Jesus Christ implores us to be careful with the kind of word you take to heart, so that it will not by its nature lead to your destruction – John 14vs6.
