A lot of people are of the impression that the moment they are with Christ, all forms of hardship, challenges, problems sorrows and so on, come to a total end in their lives but they fail to understand that the narrow way which Jesus instructed us to follow is a way filled with hardship, challenges, problems, trials and temptations and so on, but this doesn’t mean we won’t find joy, comfort, peace, happiness, and above all salvation along. This goes a long way to tell us that those who wish to live a fulfilled life in Christ Jesus will definitely experience good and bad times alike. Wherever destiny fulfillment is concerned, hard times and good times are inevitable, they go hand in hand. Many people don’t like hearing the bad side of destiny fulfillment, they don’t like to experience the hard part of life but just the good only, as they fail to understand that for the good side to manifest, the bad must also come into play as well. The same was applicable to Jesus – fulfilling His destiny on earth wasn’t all easy for Him. He faced both good and bad times alike. When He was telling His disciples about the dark phase of His life, they frowned at it, but they enjoyed hearing the good side, which was not to be so – Matthew 17vs22-23; “When they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, ‘The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.’ And they became greatly distressed.” Jesus Christ knew that for the good times of His life to manifest, the hard times of His life must also come into reality, which He also wants us to know.
Our life, I mean our journey in life are of two phases, it goes with both the hard times and good times, praises and condemnations, joy and sadness. If we fail to accept the two phases of life, we are definitely not going to make our destiny a reality to the glory of God.
I bring everything to a conclusion by saying this; to succeed in Christ Jesus, be ready for both the pain and the gain, praises and condemnations, joy and sadness as there is no glory without a story – John 14vs6.
