I WISH I HAD IT

‘I wish I had it’ is what many of us say at one time or the other due to the fact that we suffer in real time the availability of some desires that appear unattainable. ‘I wish I had this’, ‘I wish I had that’.
I remembered the first time I came across this picture some years back, I felt so much for this young boy as I was also imagining those lines drawn on the ground became real and all his desires to use the legs became a reality. But the more I looked at it, the more I was seeing the unattainable state of it. So, I concluded by saying, ‘How I wish he had those legs’.
Yes, come to think of it, many of us have in comfort what some wish they had and the most painful part of it is that those who wish they had are living and doing well to please God the more while those who have in comfort what other wish they had are abusing these privileges, making God not pleased with them.
Here in Matthew 12vs41-42; “The people of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented when Jonah preached to them – and now, something greater than Jonah is here! The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon – and now, something greater than Solomon is here!”, Jesus Christ was trying to tell us that what Queen Sheba and the people of Nineveh wished they had, the children of Israel had them and yet had no value for them. At the end, Jesus Christ said it would be terrible for them on the day of Judgement as both factors would stand again them.
Please, don’t let the people who once said or thought ‘I WISH I HAD IT’ stand against you on the day of Judgement. Use everything God has provided for you effectively to glorify His holy name the more so that on the last day, those who wished they had what you had won’t stand against you.
Stay blessed and stay safe till we all meet at the feet of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ – John 14vs6.
