Today, Christ is here to encourage us not to give up on Heavenly rather to press towards the finish line as we all know what the race entails. Jesus Christ beforehand informed us of what we would face on the way; tribulation, rejection, temptations, afflictions, persecutions and trials. All these are to test our faith and that was why Apostle Paul said, ‘count in all joy, my brethren when you meet various trials’. James 1vs12 says; “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him”. The crown of life is not for those who started well but for those who finished well and strong – Matthew 24vs13; “But the one who endures to the end will be saved”.
Many folks have abandoned the faith as a result of trials, attacks and other issues of life but does that give them peace in this wicked world? Certainly not! That is the more reason you must not fail God by giving up the faith. As children God, He counts on us as His Mouthpiece on earth and He wants us to be effective till the very end.
Please, don’t let us give up on God due to the challenges of life but rather let us make everything that seems unbearable in the course of the journey becomes bearable because He will soon come to rescue His own – 2 Timothy 2vs12 says; “If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us”. Be reminded again that the only way we can reign with Him is to remain faithful till the very end and to effectively do that which is expected of us. Don’t lose your hope on God and don’t give up the faith in Christ Jesus – John 14vs6.
