NWAJIAKU CHARLES CHINONSO: Praise God! Glory be to God to be here on Comfort’s Desk again. Today’s discussion on the desk is; “DON’T LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT GOD” and I would like to briefly explain what it means for one not to live his life without God. The Bible in John 1vs1 tells us that; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Verse 4 tells us that; “In him was life, and the life was the light of men” and verse 14 says; “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth”. From the Bible Scriptures we can deduce that God and His beloved Son are One, I mean the same. So whatever you do to the Father, you equally do to the Son and vice versa. Then in 1 John 5vs12, we read that; “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life”. So, this also means that those who live their lives without Jesus Christ, those who have not accepted Jesus Christ into their lives as their Lord and personal Savior, those who are living their lives outside the instructions and commands of Jesus Christ are equally living without God. To live without God is to live without His Son, Jesus Christ.
GAFFORD FAVOUR: Yes, living without God is a terrible state for any person to live in. A life without God is a life without purpose, future and destiny. It is a life without peace, joy and hope. A life without God is a life full of torment, regret, failure, limitations, afflictions, fruitlessness and worst of all, it is a life headed for eternal damnation in hell – John 3vs16.
OKPAGA COMFORT NKECHIYERE: To be honest with you, there are many benefits of living one’s life in God which I’ll be mentioning few here;
1. Living a life in God assures such life of salvation
2. Living a life in God guarantees eternal life – John 3vs36, John 3vs16
3. Living your life in God makes you to know the purpose of life
4. A life in God is a life that enjoys forgiveness of sin – Ephesians 1vs7
5. A life in God is a life that is free from the grip of sin – Romans 8vs2
6. A life in God makes the Holy Spirit dwells with diversities of gifts – 1 Corinthians 12vs1-31
7. A life in God enjoys God’s protection, blessing, presence and peace of mind amongst others.
IGHO UFUOMA MARVELOUS: Just as we’ve known the meaning of living a life without God, the consequences and benefits, I want us to know that for us to enjoy the benefits and escape the consequences, we need to accept Jesus Christ as Our Lord and personal Saviour, obey His instructions and commands if we are yet to do so and I pray that as we live our lives in God here, we shall live again with Him in Heaven in Jesus Christ name, amen. Be reminded again – John 14vs6.
