In 2 Peter 3vs14-18, the Bible verses tell us as Christians to be steadfast in our Christian faith, that we should not let errors of lawless men destroy our secured position in Christ Jesus.
When a tsunami hit Japan on the 11th of March, 2011, it was shocking to see immovable objects being carried away by the flood as if they were toys. These objects include; trucks, ships, houses and many other objects. The tsunami’s force was irresistible. Many things look steadfast until a force or condition beyond them begins to shake them. The twin towers of the world trade centre in USA never looked weak until they were hit by terrorist with aeroplane loaded with passengers and crew in September, 2011.
It is in the presence of temptation that we know a believer who is given to change and the one who is steadfast. Are you steadfast in your Christian faith? Will you finish your race as expected? If you are among the saint looking for the ‘new Heaven and new earth, where in dwell the righteous’, you must do all things to be found of Christ in righteousness, blameless and without spot. To be stable in faith, you must continually grow in grace by studying and meditating on God’s word in total obedience and in prayer.
Try to be steadfast and let nothing shake you off your steadfastness. Press on to finish your race strong in Christ Jesus. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
