In the Book of Matthew 15vs30-31, we see how various people with various problems went to Jesus Christ seeking solution. Many of them were blind, some crippled, sick, deaf, dumb and the likes. The blind wanted to see again, the crippled wanted to walk, the deaf wanted to speak and they knew that through Jesus Christ they would get what they desired, so they went to Him. Since Jesus was a perfect Channel, He was able to help those people to get what they needed. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are expected to be good channels, so that through us other people can receive good things for the salvation of their souls.
This world is in dire need of Heavenly touch and this touch can only manifest when proper channels are available. Where love exists, there is no cause for hatred, fight or quarrel. Love is a virtue that this generation needs and believers are expected to be of the same channels through which the world receive it at large.
To be a channel of love, simply means that through you others get to understand the concept of true agape love for one other. Of all the commandments given to mankind by God, be reminded that love remains the greatest. Let your presence, name, appearance be capable of drowning and flushing away everything that negates love. Our God is love and whoever doesn’t love others doesn’t abide in Him – 1 John 2vs9-11, 1 John 4vs7-8. A good channel of love must never condole hatred and enmity among people. Your presence must be able to introduce love into any feuding community. Where there is hatred, you must be able to supply love. Whenever people need to see, know and understand what love means, then they must think of you, come to you for it and you also must be able to meet their expectations in terms of it. This is what it means to be a channel of love. Jesus Christ taught us to love one another, including our enemies, meaning we must not have restriction to whom we love. Those who promote hatred are not Christ-like and aren’t fit for the Kingdom of God. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
