As humans on earth, it is important to note that we are all instruments for divine use in the Hands of God. God has not just created us without a purpose, but He has created uniquely for divine use. Just like a potter creates clay pots for different uses, God has created us in same manner, humans for various uses. God intends to use each one of us mightily to the glory of His name and to the population of His kingdom, but the problem is that so many of us have refused to make ourselves available to be used by God. God is calling many of us to service but we can’t hear Him because we have refused to make the members of our body available to Him. Some of have answered God’s call but He is still not happy to send us out because of the way we have presented ourselves. Romans 6vs13 urges us to yield our bodies as instruments of righteousness and not to sin as instruments of unrighteousness. This means that for God to use us gloriously, we have to give to Him all members of our body, both the physical likes the eyes, hands, mouths, legs etc and the spiritual like the mind, thought, heart and the likes. If we give our body to sin by using them to do, see or meditate on evil, then God can’t use us. Just like you can’t use dirty water to wash your clothes or take your bath, God can’t use a dirty and defiled vessel for His divine work of salvation. God is holy and pure, that means His vessels and instruments must be holy and pure too – 1 Peter 1vs15. We are all expected to be useful to God, but we can’t do that when we are still being used be the devil. To be actively used by God, all members of our body must be constantly working to bear glory to His name, but when they do otherwise, they are actively being used by the devil. To become useful to God, then you must do as 2 Timothy 2vs21 says; “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work”. God needs laborers for His desired work, make yourself available now, be useful for Him, be an active instrument of righteousness for Him. Those who choose to remain useful instruments to sin without repentance will surely perish and those who were active instruments for God in truth and in faith will have a place with Him in Heaven. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
