LIVE TO RECEIVE THE BREATHE OF GOD ON YOUR LITTLE RESOURCES
Life tries to convince us that God doesn’t perform miracles again, that the days of signs and wonders are over. I disagree with this, God still performs miracles. You might have passed through some difficulties in life hoping God to save and rescue you, but it didn’t work out and now you have concluded that God doesn’t perform miracles. But do you know that the kind of relationship you have with Him matters a lot because God does nothing without His word? Looking at the case of the poor widow that God breathe on her little resources she had and turned it into abundance – 2 Kings 4vs1- 5; “Now a wife of one of the prophets appealed to Elisha for help, saying, ‘Your servant, my husband is dead. You know that your servant was a loyal follower of the LORD. Now the creditor is coming to take away my two boys to be his servants.’ Elisha said to her, ‘What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?’ She answered, ‘Your servant has nothing in the house except a small jar of olive oil.’ He said, ‘Go and ask all your neighbors for empty containers. Get as many as you can. Go and close the door behind you and your sons. Pour the olive oil into all the containers; set aside each one when you have filled it.’ So she left him and closed the door behind her and her sons. As they were bringing the containers to her, she was pouring the olive oil”.
Matthew 14vs15-21 also explained how Jesus Christ fed the multitude with five loaves and two fishes. If you look at these two cases, you will see that both characters had good relationship with God and an outstanding faith. You can’t be expecting God to turn little resources into abundance when your relationship with Him is dead and when your faith in Him is crippled. Yes, it becomes very hard for you to experience the breathe of God on your little resources. Above all, God still breathe on little resources to make it abundant, He still performs miracles and the only way by which you can enjoy this privilege is when you have a living relationship with Him and a right caring heart for others. Be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
