Jesus Christ warned against not forgiving our offenders as this places hindrance to our prayers. He narrated this fearful parable to illustrate the danger of holding grudges against our fellow neighbours in Matthew 18vs23-35. Offences come everyday and people can hurt us willingly or unintentionally. Sometimes the wound may be so deep that it becomes very difficult to let go, but as someone who wants to have a successful prayer link to God, he mustn’t harbor unforgiveness in his heart.
Whenever you forgive someone you simultaneously set yourself free from self-imprisonment. Yes, you are definitely helping yourself the most when you forgive others of their offences than they you’re forgiving. Never allow unforgiveness to hinder your prayer and your divine communication with God. Let forgiveness rule over your heart in order to always enjoy divine communication with God and be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. . . – John 14vs6.
