Jesus Christ said that as His followers and God’s own children, we are the light of the world. As light, We are meant to let our light illuminate the world to the glory of God. Just as the Bible says in Matthew 5vs16 that; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven”. As believers, we are meant to be channels of light where there is darkness for this is the essence of our presence in this world.
Darkness is said to be not of God because it gives room to the works of evil. Contrary to this, Jesus Christ reflected this subject matter as written in Luke 1vs79 that he gives light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide their feet into the way of peace. This is what Jesus Christ did and we are meant to exhibit same nature if truly we belong to Him.
You can’t claim to be a channel of light when you are still engaging with darkness in your life, impossible! Light and darkness can never live together, impossibility! You are to help others out of darkness and not to put in darkness.
To you who cares to live forever with God when this sinful world is over, you must be a channel of light like Jesus Christ where there is darkness – 1 Peter 2vs21. Be a channel of light where there is darkness for the salvation of your soul and others, and continue to stay focused on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
