In Matthew 26vs41, Jesus Christ implores us to pray so that we don’t fall into temptations. Jesus Christ knows that temptations are bound to come and that was why He urges us to pray in order not to fall into it.
I want you to know that prayer can make you not to respond to temptations leading to sin once captured in its atmosphere. Jesus Christ knows that sin has corrupted the nature of man and some of the ways to live a victorious life in a fallen world of sinful entanglement is to watch and pray continuously.
In order for us to succeed and wage a successful war with temptations, we need to engage in consistent prayer. Watchfulness and prayerfulness are the guiding principles for every child of God to survive every form of temptation.
Please, let us be consistent in prayer and to be watchful at all times so that we can always overcome every form of temptation and to also keep our focus on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
