One of the greatest moral issue that we all struggle with is telling the truth. Truth is an accurate representation of a fact and it is in conformity with God’s standard as revealed in His Word. God is the truth and He always speaks the truth.
Lying is the opposite of telling truth. How so we know lying is a sin. We know it because it is not God’s standard of living. It is our responsibility as believers to be channels of truth where is lie.
The devil does not actually want us to always be truthful moreover, he wants us to believe in lies and be lost. There are many people who believe the devil’s lies and deceits, therefore they are lost.
God wants us to be channels of truth where there is lie for the salvation of our souls. Telling the truth is a quality, a virtue we have to possess wholeheartedly if we want to reign with God.
Please, let us be channels of truth and never to encourage or entertain anything that propagates lies. As we do, let us continue to keep our focus on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
