As believers, we’re called to flee from everything that appears evil or contradicts God’s standard of living. This means, being mindful of what we consume, watch, say, do and listen to. We can’t engage in everything others do, because of our identities in Christ Jesus. Our flesh often desires to go against the Spirit but we should prompt our spirit to resist such desires. We mustn’t trust our flesh, but always good to acknowledge our weaknesses. This awareness helps us make conscious decisions, such as avoiding situations where we might be tempted to sin.
Apostle Paul warns us in 1 Thessalonians 5vs22, “Abstain from every form of evil.” If something may lead you to sin, flee from it. This might mean avoiding certain channels, people, or things that may be around you, including friends, associations, or assets. It might not be easy but it worth it for the salvation of our souls and others.
Please, let us flee from everything with the appearance of evil and as we do, let us also keep a steady focus on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life that: no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
