NEVER LET GO OF YOUR WELL DEFINED IDENTIFIED IDENTITY WITH CHRIST JESUS

As believers, we should live with the consciousness that the beauty of our faith is to always be identified with Jesus Christ – the Word of God. The believers journey is not always a bed of roses as many may think. It entails both good and hard times alike and whichever season we find ourselves, we are expected to still hold on to our faith – always identifying ourselves with Jesus Christ in our words, actions, thoughts, appearance and so on.
I want us to know that a time is coming where our well defined identification with truth, righteousness, justice and so on will be needed and if we compromise, it may result to shame or total loss of eternal life. Apostle Peter walked with Jesus Christ but when it was needed for Him to be well identified with Jesus Christ during His trying period, that was the exact time he denied Him. Though he wept shamefully and thank God for grace that found Him afterwards. Likewise, a certain man followed Jesus after His capture but when he sensed danger on him, he left his linen cloth and ran away naked – Mark 14vs50-72.
I would like us to know that the beauty of our faith in God is our well defined identity with Him at all times and once we destroy it by compromising, then we may experience shame or downcast. If Apostle Peter were to tell us the most painful moment of his life, it would be the moment he denied His master, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, never, let go of our well defined identity with Jesus Christ and as we do, let us stay focused on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6
