NO SALVATION WITHOUT OBEDIENCE TO HIS VOICE

In the system of God, whenever He wants to outlaw a particular thing, He always displace the old with a new one. Matthew 17vs1-8, gave a practical example: before the arrival of Jesus Christ, the people lived by the laws and the words of the prophets to know the mind of God. But at the transfiguration when God needed to prove Jesus Christ as the predicted Messiah, Moses (representation of the Laws) and Elijah (representation of the Prophets) had to disappear.
Thereafter, a voice from God came out from the cloud with a declaration saying; “This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased, listen to Him” – Matthew 17vs15. In this pronouncement, God was invariably saying that all we need to hear for the salvation of our souls is no longer in the laws or the prophets but only in Jesus Christ. Therefore God made everything restored and perfect through Jesus Christ. When Moses and Elijah were seen with Jesus Christ during the transfiguration, God didn’t say the disciples should listen to any of them but rather He instructed them to listen only to Jesus Christ; for the restoration of life indeed comes through Him. It was this that made Jesus Christ confidently promised to be with us till the end of the age – Matthew 28vs 18-20 which none of the heroes of faith could do.
To this, anyone who predicts the emerging of another Messiah aside Jesus Christ is false. God is directing everyone to Jesus Christ and anyone who fails to obey Him is invariably disobeying God. Listen to Jesus Christ, don’t indirectly kick against God with the mindset of serving Him and rejecting Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
