In Luke 4vs31-44, the Bible illustrates Jesus’ authority, which astonished those in the synagogue who were listening to Him. The way He taught the scriptures, cast out demons, and preached the gospel with authority, regardless of the consequences, is noteworthy. This Bible passage teaches us that, as believers, we should be courageous and brave in preaching the Word of God with authority, regardless of our surroundings or the reception we receive.
In today’s world, truth is often withheld, and there is a lack of authority in proclaiming the Word of God to others. Some individuals struggle to proclaim the gospel in its entirety, instead preaching sugarcoated messages that fail to yield salvation or souls. Jesus Christ stood firm and proclaimed the scriptures as they were, whether pleasing or not. In these times, we need to speak with authority, just as Jesus Christ did when He preached the gospel.
The essence of the gospel we have received is to preach it with the authority in Christ Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: the only path to God – John 14vs6.
