Cultism is a practice or activity by a group with a common or certain spiritual or religious or philosophical beliefs. It is a virtual practice whose membership, initiation, policies and activities are done secretly. Thus, these groups or individuals are known as cults.A cult group is a group with extreme beliefs in a particular custom or doctrines which are not part of other established customs or doctrines of God. Yes, cultism is very rampant in our environments today; in religious settings, communities, tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools and the most likely causes of this cult activities are due to poor parental training and up-bringing, peer group influence, emotional instability, drug abuse, revenge, poverty, ignorance, low self-esteem and similar others.Cultism activities as in the Scriptures are such as; witchcraft or sorcerers, wizards, magicians, fortune tellers, soothsayers, enchanters, necromancers or consulting the dead, etc – Deuteronomy 18vs10-11.The practice of cultism leads to no other than death and destruction. Partakers of occult activities defile themselves – Leviticus 19vs31. The act of cultism is an abomination to the Lord Almighty – Deuteronomy 18vs11-12. Cultism provokes the Lord to anger – 2 Chronicles 33vs6. Cultism activities takes you away from the Lord’s presence – Leviticus 20vs6, just to mention a few. I appeal to you brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught in Christ Jesus and avoid them. For such persons do not serve Our God but their own appetites and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
My people, any form of cult group under Christian or non-Christian platforms is not an acceptable practice before God. The only acceptable group in the Lord’s sight is one that obeys His commands and hearkens unto His Will according to the life manner of His only Son, Jesus Christ – Leviticus 20vs7-8. I tell you the truth, any form of occult engagement will cause you great disadvantage on the Judgement day if you don’t quit now – John 14vs6.
