In life, we tend to avoid some certain things we wish not to experience but not such to death as it is unavoidable and certain to occur even though we hate to experience it. Death has been destined for every human to experience as stated in Ecclesiates12vs7 that, “And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it”. Also, in Hebrews 9vs27 the Bible says, “And just as it is appointed unto a man to die once and after that comes Judgement”. Death is unavoidable, inevitable, unexpected and it happens everyday to people (rich, poor, beautiful, ugly, old, young, literate, illiterate and so on). It is like a thief that visits his victims when they least expected.
Also, I want us to know that after death is Judgement. Now, the question is; in what state will death meet us? Is it in sin or in Christ Jesus? The choice is ours to make but don’t forget that if death catches up with anyone in sin, then such shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Since death is unavoidable, it is wise we get prepared for it because the only control we have over the unavoidable grip of death is preparation in Christ Jesus by living according to Christ’s standard of living. Don’t forget that blessed is he who dies in Christ Jesus and be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. . . – John 14vs6.
