A channel is a pathway or route through which we receive what we need or get to where we want. In the book of Matthew 15vs29-31, we see how Jesus Christ was a channel through which a lot of troubled people received solutions to their problems. The crowd had lots of problems and they desired solutions to them and when they saw Him, they knew that through Him, they would get what they wanted and indeed they were right.
As Christians, we are meant to be channels like Christ was, people should be able to recognize us for something wonderful and enjoy the blessings that come out of it through us. Humility is one of those things you can be a channel of. Through you, the virtue of humility can be made known to others. Jesus Christ was a channel of humility, He washed His disciples’ feet in order to teach them more of humility. We are also to be like Him, our actions, words and lifestyles in general must be able to induce humility into the lives of others.
Being a channel of humility means you are always known for humility and through you many others can learn how to humble themselves. A channel of humility will never encourage pride or bragging, he is such a person who urges others to bring themselves low and never brag about their good traits or position, calm when corrected and of kind words. You can’t lead people towards a humble life, when you don’t know the way there. Your life of humility must be able to teach others positively and encourage them too to be humble. Your lifestyle alone must be a teacher of humility to others, that’s what it means to be a channel of humility. Anyone who refuses to be a channel of humility like Christ was, is not going to be recognized with Him in the Kingdom of His Father and eventually will be thrown into hell after the Judgement. Please, be a channel of humility where there is pride – John 14vs6.
