Romans 6vs13 says; “Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness”. This question must be asked, whose instrument are you? Who is your master? The life you live simply tells and gives a reply to this question. Anyone who is an instrument of God will never obey sin or be a slave to sin. You can’t claim to be an instrument of God when you have sold yourself to sin and the devil.
Now, if you are self-determined, nobody can stop you. Many characters in the Bible who were instruments of God were well known today and their lives glorified God because of one out of many things that lived in them, ‘self-determination’.
To be an instrument of God, you must be willing to obey all it requires; I mean for you to follow the will, decision and plan of God for your life accordingly. To be a useful vessel or instrument in the Hands of God, it demands your self-determination in Christ Jesus otherwise you won’t stand the test of time. Be reminded today that no individual is useless and has come to this world without a purpose. Our usefulness would be clearly manifested the moment we obey the call of God to do His Work. All you need to do is surrender yourself to God and make yourself available for He is willing to use you. God can transform nonentities into useful vessels irrespective of their spiritual conditions. Moses felt unqualified when God called him, he was not eloquent in speech, but became a mighty instrument through whom millions were delivered from the Egyptian captivity when he surrendered himself to the plan of God.
My people, if you are willing to be used by God, let go of darkness and cling to the Light of the world and God will use you beyond your imaginations. Moses, Elijah, Samuel, Joshua, Paul, John the Baptist, Peter, David and many other Biblical characters were mighty instruments in the Hands of God. You too can be one if you totally surrender to God, for He is willing to make you a vessel unto honour. But above it all, it demands your self-determination, a determination not of any other but of yourself and be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
