Looking at the economic status of our country, I think it’s high time we citizens started to pray for our nation. Our nation is currently under severe challenges and hindrances, especially to its economic growth and stability. Rather than experiencing advance economic growth and development, the country’s economic structure is in total meltdown and this has resulted to other severe problems the nation is facing right now, problems like inflation, increase in poverty, insecurities, etc. The economy of the country is in shambles and this has hindered the growth of the nation. Items in the market seems to increase every time you go there. The means of survival are now too expensive for citizens to acquire. On a daily basis, the rate of poor people in the nation increases, there is no food, water, electricity supply, good roads, etc. The security of the nation is nothing to write home about either. Everyday we hear of killings, raping, arm robbery, bandit attacks, bomb blasts, raids, etc. People are now scared of leaving their homes, nowhere and no one is safe anymore. The status of the nation’s economy continues to declines day after day. It is important for us to note that no man can ever solve all this nation’s problem, only God can and He has decided to keep quiet because even the citizens of the nation are not obedient to His voice. God has promised in 2 Chronicles 7vs14 that; “If My people who are called by my Name humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land”. God won’t listen to the prayers of sinners, liars, thieves, etc. So it’s high time we gave up unrighteousness and accept righteousness, so that God could hear our prayers and hear our nation from its economic declination. The more we think we need good people to handle the nation’s economy, the more we need to support them in prayers to perfectly get things right. Every nation needs prayer in this regard, please pray for your nation and be reminded again that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life . . . – John 14vs6.
