The Bible says in Matthew 16vs22-23 that; “. . . Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him: ‘God forbid, Lord! This must not happen to you!’ But He turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me, because you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.'”
Jesus Christ didn’t call Peter as a person Satan, but his words that were contrary to God’s opinion. The mistake Peter made was the fact that he was rebuking God’s Word at the expense of God’s interest instead of asking what should be done.
Note, any nature in you that chooses the side of man rather than that of God is satanic. Any nature in you that is a hindrance to the will of God to be done is said to be satanic. Once you begin to exhibit this satanic nature, you will eventually affect yourself negatively both physically and spiritually.
Please, don’t negate the opinion of God for your life in this manner so that you don’t become an obstacle to yourself and continue to stay focused on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
