Jesus Christ at a time was in the temple being tested by the Scribes and Pharisees who were teachers of the law seeking to discredit Him. Jesus Christ then said in Matthew 23vs13; “Woe unto you Scribes and Pharisees because you shut off the Kingdom of Heaven from people for you do not enter it yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in”. Jesus Christ was indeed rebuking them for being fraudulent religious leaders. They were pretending to represent the truth but they were filled with lies and deceptions, going around to mislead people.
The religious leaders knew Jesus Christ was the Messiah, yet they fought against Him and everyone who intended to follow Him. They were mean to be heralds of truths, but actively going around to shut and lock the gate to the new dispensation of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus against people. Jesus Christ woe them, what a tragedy – 2 Timothy 4vs1-8.
Do you know that religious leaders like these still exist in our world today? Yes they do, they twist the Scriptures, obsessing the truth, teaching false doctrines, denying the gospel and ministry of the Holy Spirit, promoting ungodly living and persecuting those who stand for the truth. Don’t be among those who shut the Kingdom of Heaven against others so that you don’t be a victim of the statement of Jesus Christ in Matthew 23vs13.
Please stay safe and stay focused on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him. I pray God bless His world in the midst of our hearts in Jesus Christ name, amen – John 14vs6.
