THE FLESH – #16 (The Carnal Man)

A carnal man is a man who is born into the family of God after renouncing the natural man as well as one that understands and accept the spiritual existence or reality of life or things but still under the grip or control of his old nature which he inherited from his formal family (natural man) before he became born again. This fleshy nature still makes a carnal mortal, susceptible to sin that leads to death at an unknown time – Romans 8vs6; “Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever”.
A carnal man is still subject to the sinful desires of the human nature which is at work in him making him slavery or servant of sin – John 8vs34; “Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Whoever commits and practices sin is the slave of sin”. Until a carnal man totally denies himself, that is, complete eradication of the imperfect human nature, he cannot be saved from his carnal or sensual nature that often leads one into eternal separation from God – Galatians 2vs20; “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me”.
I am using this medium to encourage us to mortify (put to death) our sensual or carnal nature and render ourselves to God for the salvation of our souls.
I pray the Lord bless His Word in the midst of your heart in the name of Jesus Christ, amen. Please, continue to stay focused on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
