The Bible made us to understand in James 4vs6 that God resist the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Humility should be our nature as believers If truly we want to be exalted by God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ was humbled unto death, though He was in the best position to exalt Himself, but restrained and humbled himself unto death so that you and I can be saved. Indeed, this is the greatest proof of humility.
Just like Jesus Christ, we are to live in humility and not in pride. The Bible in Proverbs 16vs18 says that pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Pride always accompanies the hardest fall; this is the reason we need to be humble so that God can exalt us.
I would like you to know that Humility is never a show of weakness rather it shows your strength once it is exercised in Christ Jesus. Therefore, be humble in God’s sight to be exalted at due time for the salvation of your soul. As you do, continue to keep your focus on Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6
