On earth today, nobody has been created useless, for everyone is created for a purpose that must be discovered and fulfilled. Jesus Christ made clear three criteria we must bear if really we want to come after Him in Matthew 16vs24. He quotes; “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me”. My emphasize will on the second criteria, ‘take up his cross’.
A cross is according to Jesus’ use and perspective, it means God’s perfect Will for your life. It is the basic reason for your existence and creation. However, many notion a cross as a burden or problem, but actually it’s not. Your cross is that particularly race you are to run, the designed plan of God for your life for your existence that must be fulfilled – Jeremiah 29vs11. God’s perfect interest on Jesus Christ was to see Him nailed to the Cross for the propitiation of our sins. Even at the very moment of His death, He was still very submissive in prayer to the interest of God by saying: ‘Let Your Will be done’.
Many today don’t know what their crosses (purposes) are, how much to respond to it and failure to discover your purpose and take it up simply means you’ve failed.
Please readers, take note: Jesus was able to sit at the right hand side of God because He carried His cross as expected to the very end. Also, the same applies to us to inherit God’s kingdom.
Therefore, it’s to your gain to bear your cross (purpose) in Christ, to run and to finish the race God has set before you for the salvation of your soul and others that might be incorporated into your life.
God bless this message in midst of our hearts in Jesus Christ name, amen. Carry you cross as Jesus Christ did and keep your focus on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6
