Matthew 27vs11-66 explained how Jesus Christ humbled Himself even at the point of death. It is not that Christ Jesus didn’t have the power to destroy His attackers but He humbled Himself that the Will of God would be fulfilled. For instance, assuming Jesus Christ didn’t humble Himself when He was accused falsefully, I am not sure things would have been messed up. To this, I would love to say that there is gain in humility. My brothers and sisters, if Jesus Christ could humble Himself for us to be saved, we also are ought to do likewise.
My people, God wants us to humble ourselves because in humility lies the exaltation of the Lord. I want you to know that there is great gain in humility. Though it might seems hard or difficult to exercise at times but behind it, there is great gain in it here and hereafter. Please, be humble for there is great gain in humility and as you do, stay focused on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
