I remember watching one of the fire fighters movie titled “THE BRAVEST”. Though in the movie the fire fighters have been working at different locations saving lives, but the worst happened which caused many of them to lose their lives.
The refinery where petroleum and other oils were being produced caught fire, immediately the fire fighters were summoned. The fire fighters arrived to put off the fire outbreak, but all efforts prove abortive, yet they couldn’t give up because giving up means death to the country. While trying to put off the fire outbreak, many fire fighters kept dying, some were burnt, some in pain yet they couldn’t stop working, for it’s their duty and what they signed for. It’s a cross they must carry despite being risky especially to save the country.
This is exactly what I am talking about. Jesus Christ knew His death would be terrible, yet He was willing to through the process as He also taught us to be bold and willing to carry our crosses regardless of the challenges.
Take note that the ‘cross’ here means God’s perfect Will, assignment, opinion for you which you were created. Jesus Christ said, if any man would come after Me, let him carry his cross and follow Him – Matthew 16vs24. Following Jesus Christ is not by mere confession, it is willingness to do God’s Will as expected.
We live each day to pray, fast, praise, worship without the cross. This is terrible! This shows that we are waiting for Jesus Christ arrival when we aren’t prepared. I would like you to know that whosoever wants to enter God’s Kingdom must carry his cross as Jesus Christ did.
In summary, you can only come after Jesus Christ when you’ve fully carry your cross. I pray God bless this message in the midst of your heart in Jesus Christ. As you live to bear your cross, stay focused on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6.
