To redeem time means to make good use of every opportunity you have. That is, doing the right thing at the right time to the glory of God. Ephesians 5vs15-16 says, “So be careful how you love. Don’t live like ignorant people, but, like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days”. Now, we see why Ecclesiastes 3vs1-8 laid more emphasis on the importance of time and seasons.
Many at times, we misuse our time especially when it comes to our salvation. We forget that time is short and waits for no one. Time is life, everyday is conquerable by its hour and every hour by its minutes. The days are evil and the time is near for Our Savior’s return and we cannot afford to live a careless life because a life that is careless with God is a life that is not planning to be part of His inheritance.
It is absolutely the right time for us to cease every opportunity and make good use of it because each day we spend, it is not retrievable. My people, remember there is time for every thing and purpose on earth, so don’t spend your time pursuing shadows but to do the needful.
This is a very important message to anyone who is still postponing the day of his or her salvation to a more convenient time, because you may be endangering your soul here and hereafter. Therefore, repent and redeem the time for the days are evil. And as you do, always stay focused on this same Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: that no one goes to God except through Him – John 14vs6
