Mark 12vs35-44, narrated how Jesus Christ sat down opposite the place where the offering box was and how the crowd dropped their money into the temple’s treasure. Many rich people threw large amount but a poor widow came and dropped in two small copper coins worth only a fraction of a penny. Then, Jesus Christ called His disciple and said unto them that the poor widow offering was more than every other person that dropped into the treasury box.
Jesus Christ was teaching His disciple that it is not the amount of money given that is important, but the sacrifice made into the offering and spirit with which it was given.
Giving is a sign that you’ve conquered greed. When we come before the Lord, He knows the motive and the intention of our heats. To this, we should learn to give the best of what we have to the Lord sacrificially with the spirit of righteousness, holiness and purity. God values a heart willing to serve and give freely.
Please, build in yourself to give unto the Lord sacrificially in righteousness and as you do, continue to keep your steady focus on this Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life: no one goes to God except through Him – John14vs6.
